Jyoti Sreekumar w/o A. Sreekumar DGM of SBI( Rtd) 2011 when sreekumar was working in SBI’s corporate office Mumbai, Jyoti was with Wipro in their HR department. A cousin taught her the art of making homemade chocolates. She pursued this among family Circles initially.
During one Diwali, they gave some newspaper inserts announcing the availability of hand made and home made yummy chocolates. She got some small small orders first. She got a call from Balaji Telefilms for a bulk order which she executed successfully. When husband was transferred to Hyderabad, Jyoti resigned her lucrative job and accompanied her husband to Hyderabad. Here she continued her hobby among the residents of the society and also participated in exhibitions. Her husband’s colleagues gave orders for celebration of birthday. Registering with ‘just dial’also gave some orders.
Then she thought she would create a brand for her products which was rated as better than the so called foreign Swiss chocolates according to some of her customers. Her daughter suggested a simple name “ SIMPLY CHOCOLATES “. She has fssai registration as well. When her husband got a transfer to Thiruvananthapuram simply chocolates also shifted its base to Ananthapuri.
